Sambar – south Indian lentil stew made with greens, lentils and a particular mix of spices! 🍲🌶 Sambar is served historically with idli, dosa, vada, rice.
However truthfully you may eat it with something you want – roti, quinoa, brown rice!

The style of the sambar relies upon closely on the sambar powder which is a spice combine made by grinding a number of spices. Use your favourite model of sambar powder – I used eastern_in or make one at residence, see recipe under:

In a pan over medium warmth, dry roast the ing spices in a pan on medium warmth till aromatic, round three to four minutes.

-1 tbsp chana dal
-1 tbsp coriander seeds
12 dried pink chilies (or extra to style)
-1/2 tsp cumin seeds
-1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1 clove
Let cool after which grind to a powder. Retailer in an hermetic container and use as wanted.
