Ever tried Pearl Balls? by thefoodietakesflight These are principally “meat”balls (vegan ofc) coated in sticky or glutinous rice. Not totally positive why these are referred to as pearl balls besides that they do appear like pearls with that glistening sticky rice coating? 👀 (additionally received loads of feedback saying these appear like 🦔 hehe)
Anyway, Mid-Autumn Competition (or mooncake pageant as we prefer to name it) is simply across the nook which suggests there are containers of mooncakes right here at dwelling (which there are just a few in the meanwhile haha) and although these pearl balls aren’t historically served throughout the mid-autumn pageant (often served within the lunar new 12 months really), they’re nice for sharing and may simply be ready in huge batches.
