Daal Khichdi π©π»βπ³βΊοΈ one other one in all my mothers favourite! It’s quiet easy to make and requires only a few substances. ππ

**directions**
1. Soak 1 cup Chana Daal and 1 and half Cup Basmati Rice.
2. In a pot add 2 tbsp Canola oil, 1 tsp Mustard Seeds, 1 tsp Cumin, 1 inch cinnamon stick, 1 Ansie, 5-6 black Peppercorns, 1 Bay Leaf and bloom till the mustard seeds begin to pop.
3. Then add 1 midum sliced onion and 8-10 Curry leaves. Fry till onions flip mild brown.
4. Add crushed ginger and a pair of chopped inexperienced chillies. Fry for one more 2mins.
5. Drain and add the soaked Daal and 1 tsp Garam Masala and Salt. Dry roast it on medium-high flamer for 3-Four minutes. (I did not add the salt within the pictures as my mother eats meals wuth no salt, however you may add it at this step)
5. In one other pot Prep your inventory, I used 1 Maggi hen inventory dice in Four cups of water. You need to use vegetable or some other that you simply like π
6. Add the inventory to the daal together with the soaked rice π(after draining).
7. As soon as the water it begins boiling, decrease the warmth and canopy. Cowl and let it cook dinner till each rice and daal are totally completed.
*Be aware I like my khichdi somewhat mushy, you may cook dinner it as desired by add much less or extra water/ inventory.
